Day Seven

Today we went back to San Diego to go snorkeling. I've been snorkeling twice in Florida, this was much different. The water here is more murky, the fish camouflage better. I did see a leopard shark though which was cool and several different types of fish. The wind was strong and the waves were huge today. It was fun to be able to float on top of them and look down into the water. At one point Jasmine and I accidentally got into the breaking zone where the waves were strongest and had to be called back over. Our guide was really great, her name was Mya and she was from Washington.
After that we got supper at a local Mexican restaurant, then walked around the La Jolla area and did some shopping. After that, a quick stop at Target turned into an entertaining hour. We all had to go to the bathroom by the time we left, but the Target bathroom was closed, not to worry, we saw a Chik-Fil-A up ahead, but the restrooms were not for non-customers. We hit up a Seven Eleven; no public bathrooms, we walked to another gas station, the same thing. Finally, we went to Del Taco where the door said "See cashier." We gave in and bought something and used the bathroom.
Tomorrow we leave Yucca Valley and head North.

  1. It's hard to believe that they don't let you use the restrooms!

    2. I think there must have been a lot of homeless people in that area or something. I don't know why Target's bathroom was closed though, I think that there must have ben a plumbing issue.
